PSPCL ALM Recruitment 2026: Apply Online for 3,000 Assistant Lineman Vacancies

Introduction

The Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) has officially released the detailed notification for the recruitment of Assistant Lineman (ALM) for the year 2026 under Advertisement No. CRA 315/26. This is one of the largest recruitment drives in Punjab’s power sector, offering a massive 3,000 vacancies to technical aspirants. 💰 Application Fees

The fee is payable online and includes GST charges.

• General / OBC / EWS / Others: ₹1,416/- (₹1,200 base fee + ₹216 GST)
• SC and PwD Categories: ₹885/- (₹750 base fee + ₹135 GST)

🎓 Eligibility Criteria

1. Educational Qualification

• Technical: Must possess a National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) in Lineman Trade OR ITI in Electrician or Wireman Trade from a recognized NCVT/SCVT institution.
• Language: It is mandatory to have passed Punjabi at the Matriculation (10th) level or equivalent before the application deadline.
• Matriculation: 10th pass or equivalent is a prerequisite.

2. Age Criteria (As of 01.01.2026)

• Minimum Age: 18 Years
• Maximum Age: 37 Years
• Relaxation: 5 years for SC/BC, 10 years for PwD, and as per Punjab Govt. rules for Ex-Servicemen and Widows.

💸 Salary & Probation

Selected candidates will be placed on a 3-year probation period.

• Basic Pay: ₹19,990 per month (as per 7th CPC Pay Matrix).
• During Probation: Candidates will receive only the ‘minimum admissible pay’ without annual increments or standard allowances (DA/HRA).
• Post Probation: Full pay scale along with all allowances as per PSPCL rules.

📝 Selection Process & Exam Pattern

The selection will be based on a two-part Online Computer Based Test (CBT).

• Part-I (Punjabi Qualifying): 50 MCQs. Candidates must score at least 50% (25 marks) to qualify. Marks in this part are not added to the final merit.
• Part-II (Technical & General): 100 MCQs (50 Technical + 50 General Aptitude). The final merit list is prepared based strictly on Part-II marks.
• Negative Marking: There is no negative marking in this exam.
