Introduction
The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has officially announced the exam schedule for the Special School Teacher Recruitment (Advt. No. 42/2025). This recruitment drive is a significant initiative by the Education Department of Bihar to appoint 7,279 specialized educators for primary and middle schools across the state.
Candidates who completed their registration in July 2025 are now entering the final phase of the selection process. The commission will conduct a single-shift objective examination on January 29, 2026. 2. Application Fees (Paid during Registration)
- General / OBC / Other State: ₹750
- SC / ST / PH (Bihar Domicile): ₹200
- Female (Bihar Domicile): ₹200
- Note: An additional biometric fee of ₹200 was applicable if Aadhaar was not used for verification.
3. Eligibility Criteria
A. Educational Qualification
- Class 1 to 5: 10+2 (Intermediate) with 50% marks + D.El.Ed (Special Education) + Valid CRR Number (RCI). Must have qualified BSSTET Paper-I.
- Class 6 to 8: Graduation with 50% marks + B.Ed (Special Education) + Valid CRR Number (RCI). Must have qualified BSSTET Paper-II.
B. Age Limit (as of 01.08.2025)
- Minimum Age: 18 Years
- Maximum Age: 37 Years (General Male), 40 Years (General Female/OBC), 42 Years (SC/ST).
4. Exam Pattern & Syllabus
The exam consists of 150 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) to be solved in 150 minutes.

- Negative Marking: There is NO negative marking.
- Qualifying Marks: 40% for General, 36.5% for BC, 34% for EBC, and 32% for SC/ST/Women.
5. How to Download Admit Card
- Visit the BPSC login portal: onlinebpsc.bihar.gov.in.
- Log in using your Username and Password.
- Mandatory Step: Upload a recent passport-size photograph (25kb max) before downloading.
- Click on the “Admit Card” link to download your hall ticket.
- Print two copies (one for submission at the exam hall).
