A. Educational Qualification
- Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LLB) (either 3-year or 5-year integrated course) from a university recognized by the Bar Council of India.
- Candidates must be eligible to be registered as an advocate to practice in court.
B. Age Limit
- Minimum Age: 21 Years.
- Maximum Age (UR Male): 37 Years.
- Maximum Age (UR Female, BC/EBC Male & Female): 40 Years.

4. Exam Pattern & Syllabus
Stage 1: Preliminary Exam (Objective – 200 Marks)
- Paper I: General Studies (100 Marks): General Science, Current Affairs (National/International), History of India & Bihar, Geography, and Indian Political System.
- Paper II: Law (100 Marks): Fundamental knowledge of the Constitution of India, IPC/BNS, Evidence Act/BSA, and CrPC/BNSS.
- Negative Marking: 1/4th (0.25) mark per wrong answer.
Stage 2: Main Exam (Written Descriptive – 900 Marks)
Includes 7 papers: General Studies (100), Hindi (100), English (100), and core legal papers including IPC, Evidence Act, CrPC, and Other Special Laws (Arms Act, POCSO, etc.).
Stage 3: Interview (100 Marks)
Testing legal aptitude, personality, and communication skills.
