The Uttar Pradesh Home Guard Department, through UPPRPB, has fast-tracked the selection process for 41,424 vacancies. Following the successful completion of the application phase on December 17, 2025, the board has now confirmed that the written examination will be held in late April 2026.

2. Selection Process & Exam Pattern
The selection process is multi-staged, designed to test both mental awareness and physical fitness.
Written Examination (CBT/OMR)
- Subject: General Knowledge (includes UP Specific, Science, History, and Polity).
- Total Questions: 100 Objective Type.
- Total Marks: 100 Marks.
- Duration: 120 Minutes (2 Hours).
- Marking: +1 per correct answer. No negative marking (Check notification for latest update).
- Qualifying Marks: Candidates must score at least 25% to be considered for the merit list.

Instructions for Sample OMR Sheet
- Use Only Ballpoint Pen: Candidates must use a Black or Blue ballpoint pen for filling circles.
- Correct Marking: Darken the circles completely. Half-filled or ticked marks will not be evaluated.
- Roll Number/Booklet ID: Fill these carefully; errors in these sections will lead to disqualification.
- No Whitener: Use of whitener or erasing ink on the OMR sheet is strictly prohibited.
