3. Eligibility Criteria (As of 01.01.2026)

A. Educational Qualification

  • Development Assistant: Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate (Pass Class for SC/ST/PWBD/EXS).
  • Development Assistant (Hindi): Bachelor’s Degree with Hindi and English as compulsory or elective subjects with minimum 50% marks (Pass Class for reserved categories). Candidates must be able to translate from English to Hindi and vice versa.
  • Essential: Working knowledge of word processing on a Personal Computer (PC) is mandatory.

B. Age Limit

  • Minimum Age: 21 Years
  • Maximum Age: 35 Years
  • (Candidates must have been born between 02.01.1991 and 01.01.2005, both days inclusive).

5. Selection Process & Syllabus

Phase-I: Preliminary Examination (Online)

  • Objective Type: 100 Marks | Duration: 60 Minutes.
  • Subjects: English Language (35 Qs), Numerical Ability (30 Qs), Reasoning Ability (35 Qs).
  • Negative Marking: 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.

Phase-II: Main Examination (Online)

  • Structure: Objective (150 Marks) + Descriptive English (50 Marks).
  • Objective Sections: Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, General Awareness (with focus on Agriculture/Rural Dev), and Computer Knowledge.
  • Descriptive: Essay, Letter Writing, and Precis.
