2. Eligibility Criteria (as of 09.03.2026)

A. Educational Qualification

  • Degree: M.Sc. Computer Science (Regular) / MCA (Regular) / B.E. or B.Tech. in CS/IT with at least 55% marks (50% for SC/PwBD of Haryana).
  • Mandatory Certification: Valid Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test (HTET) or School Teacher Eligibility Test (STET) in the relevant subject.
  • Schooling: Matric with Hindi/Sanskrit OR 10+2/B.A./M.A. with Hindi as one of the subjects.
  • Academic Record: Consistently good academic record is required.

B. Age Limit

  • Minimum Age: 18 Years.
  • Maximum Age: 42 Years.
  • Age Relaxation: 5 years for SC, BC, Unmarried Women, and Widows of Haryana.

4. Selection Process & Syllabus

Stage 1: Screening Test (Objective)

  • Total Marks: 100 Marks (100 MCQs).
  • Weightage: 80% Subject-specific; 20% Educational Psychology, Pedagogy, GA, and Haryana GK.
  • Negative Marking: 0.25 marks per wrong answer.
  • Qualifying: Minimum 25% marks to be eligible for the next stage.

Stage 2: Subject Knowledge Test (Descriptive)

  • Total Marks: 150 Marks | Duration: 3 Hours.
  • Syllabus: Detailed Computer Science topics (Python, DBMS, Networking, OS, etc.).
  • Weightage: This stage carries 87.5% weightage in final merit.

Stage 3: Interview / Viva-Voce

  • Weightage: 12.5%.
