Latest Update: Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the official notification for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) September 2026. Eligible candidates can apply online starting from 11 May 2026.

Short Information: Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is going to conduct the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) on 06 September 2026. Candidates who want to build their career in the teaching field (for Class 1 to 5 and Class 6 to 8) can apply online before the last date, 10 June 2026. CTET September 2026 : Eligibility Criteria
Primary Stage (Class I to V) – Paper I: Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed). OR Senior Secondary with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2-year D.El.Ed as per NCTE Regulations. OR Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed). Elementary Stage (Class VI to VIII) – Paper II: Graduation and passed or appearing in the final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed). OR At least 50% marks either in Graduation or Post-Graduation and passed or appearing in the final year of Bachelor in Education (B.Ed). OR Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year B.Ed in accordance with NCTE norms. OR Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4-year B.El.Ed.

CTET September 2026 : Eligibility Criteria

How to Fill CTET September 2026 Online Form

First of all, visit the official CTET website of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) at ctet.nic.in.
Click on the “Apply for CTET September 2026” link available on the homepage.
New candidates must complete their registration by clicking on “New Registration”. After successful registration, you will receive an Application Number and Password.
Login using your details (Application Number and Password) and fill in all the required personal and educational information in the application form.
Upload your latest scanned Photograph and Signature as per the prescribed guidelines.
Pay the online Application Fee based on your Category and the chosen paper(s) (Paper I, Paper II, or Both).
Carefully check the entire form using the Preview option before final submission.
Take a printout of the Confirmation Page for future reference.
