3. Eligibility Criteria
A. Educational Qualification
Candidates must possess a Degree in Engineering from a recognized university in one of the following branches:
- Mechanical Engineering
- Production Engineering
- Power Plant Engineering
- Metallurgical Engineering
B. Practical Experience (Mandatory)
- Minimum 2 years of technical experience in:
- Design, construction, erection, operation, or testing of boilers.
- Repair, maintenance, or inspection of boilers.
- Implementation of the Boilers Act, 1923.
C. Age Limit (As of 01.08.2025)
- Minimum Age: 21 Years
- Maximum Age (General Male): 37 Years
- Maximum Age (BC/EBC & Gen Female): 40 Years
- Maximum Age (SC/ST): 42 Years

5. Selection Process & Syllabus
The selection for the Boiler Inspector post is based on Academic Merit and Interview. There is no conventional written competitive examination.
- Academic Evaluation (100 Marks):
- Matriculation (10th): 10 Marks
- Intermediate (12th): 20 Marks
- Graduation (Degree): 60 Marks
- Post-Graduation (PG): 10 Marks
- Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be called for a personal interview to assess technical knowledge and field expertise.
