1. Important Dates & Fee Structure

  • Application Period: Nov 27, 2025 – Dec 18, 2025
  • Exam City Intimation Slip: Expected January 26, 2026
  • Admit Card Release: Expected February 6, 2026 (2 days before the exam)
  • Exam Date: February 8, 2026

Application Fees (Paid during registration):

  • General / OBC (NCL): ₹1,000 (Single Paper) | ₹1,200 (Both Papers)
  • SC / ST / PwD: ₹500 (Single Paper) | ₹600 (Both Papers)

2. Exam Schedule & Shift Timings

Candidates must note that Paper II will be held in the morning shift and Paper I in the evening shift.

3. Eligibility Criteria (Brief)

  • Primary Teacher (Paper I): Senior Secondary (10+2) with 50% marks + 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed/B.El.Ed).
  • Elementary Teacher (Paper II): Graduation with 50% marks + 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education OR B.Ed degree.
  • Age Limit: No upper age limit for appearing in CTET.

4. Exam Pattern & Syllabus

Both papers consist of 150 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). There is no negative marking.

Paper-I Syllabus (Classes I-V):

  1. Child Development & Pedagogy (30 Qs)
  2. Language I – Compulsory (30 Qs)
  3. Language II – Compulsory (30 Qs)
  4. Mathematics (30 Qs)
  5. Environmental Studies (30 Qs)

Paper-II Syllabus (Classes VI-VIII):

  1. Child Development & Pedagogy (30 Qs)
  2. Language I & II – Compulsory (60 Qs total)
  3. Mathematics & Science OR Social Studies/Social Science (60 Qs)

5. How to Download CTET 2026 Admit Card

  1. Visit the official CTET website: ctet.nic.in.
  2. Click on the link “Download Admit Card for CTET Feb 2026”.
  3. Enter your Application Number and Date of Birth.
  4. Enter the Security Pin (Captcha) and click Submit.
  5. Your admit card will appear; verify your name, photo, and center address.
  6. Download and print two copies for the exam day.
