2. Eligibility Criteria (Recap)
For students looking forward to the next cycle or checking their current standing:
- Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized university.
- (Note: JSO post requires 60% in Math at 12th level or Statistics in Graduation.)
- Age Limit (As on 01.08.2025): 18–30 years for most posts; 18–32 years for JSO.
- Application Fee: ₹100 for Gen/OBC; Exempted for Women/SC/ST/PwD.
3. Selection Process & Posts
The SSC CGL selection is completed in two main stages:
- Tier 1: Computer Based Examination (Qualifying in nature).
- Tier 2: Objective Type + Skill Test (DEST). Final merit is based on Tier 2 marks.

- Assistant Section Officer (ASO) in CSS, MEA, IB.
- Inspector of Income Tax (CBDT).
- Inspector (Central Excise/Preventive Officer/Examiner).

4. SSC CGL Tier 1 Syllabus (Summary)
The Tier 1 exam was based on the following pattern:
- General Intelligence & Reasoning: 25 Questions (50 Marks)
- General Awareness: 25 Questions (50 Marks)
- Quantitative Aptitude: 25 Questions (50 Marks)
- English Comprehension: 25 Questions (50 Marks)
- Negative Marking: 0.50 per wrong answer.
5. How to Check SSC CGL 2025 Scorecard & Final Key

- On the homepage, click on the “Login” section.
- Enter your Registration Number and Password.
- Navigate to the “Result/Marks” tab on your dashboard.
- Select “Combined Graduate Level Examination 2025” from the dropdown menu.
- Click “Submit” to view your normalized marks and section-wise scores.
- To view the Final Answer Key, click on the link provided in the latest notice dated Jan 9, 2026.
6. SSC CGL Tier 1 Cut-Off Marks 2025
The Staff Selection Commission has released the official cut-off marks for the 2025 Tier 1 exam. These marks are categorized based on the post group and candidate category. Meeting these marks is mandatory to qualify for the Tier 2 exam.
