2. Eligibility Criteria

A. Educational Qualification

  • Minimum Requirement: Candidates must have passed the Intermediate (10+2) examination from a recognized board.
  • Technical Skill: Proficiency in Hindi Stenography (Shorthand) and Computer Typing is mandatory. Basic knowledge of computer operations (MS Office) is also required.

B. Age Limit (As on 01.08.2025)

  • Minimum Age: 18 Years
  • Maximum Age:
  • General (Male): 37 Years
  • General (Female) / BC / EBC: 40 Years
  • SC / ST (Male & Female): 42 Years

3. Selection Process

The selection will be based on three primary stages:

  1. Written Examination: Objective-type questions to test general awareness and language.
  2. Practical Skill Test:
  • Stenography Test: 80 words per minute (WPM) dictation in Hindi.
  • Typing Test: Computer typing speed of 30 WPM in Hindi.
  1. Document Verification: Checking of original certificates and identity.

4. Exam Pattern & Syllabus

The written exam will be divided into specific sections:

  • Total Questions: 150
  • Total Marks: 600 (4 marks for each correct answer)
  • Negative Marking: 1 Mark deducted for every wrong answer.
  • Duration: 2 Hours 15 Minutes

Syllabus Topics:

  • General Studies: Current Affairs, Indian History, Geography, and Constitution of India (Special focus on Bihar).
  • General Science & Maths: Basic Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Arithmetic.
  • Comprehension & Logic: Mental Ability, Reasoning, and Hindi Grammar.
