Introduction

The SSC GD Constable 2026 recruitment cycle has reached a critical phase with the recent activation of the exam schedule and slot preference system. 📅 SSC GD 2026 Exam Schedule

The SSC GD Constable Computer-Based Examination (CBT) will be conducted in four phases starting from late April 2026. A new feature has been introduced where candidates can select their preferred exam week.

🎓 Eligibility & Age Criteria

To be considered for the GD Constable position, candidates must meet the following immutable standards:

  • Educational Qualification: Must have passed Matriculation (10th Class) from a recognized board.
  • Nationality: Must be a citizen of India.
  • Age Limit (As of 01.01.2026): * Minimum: 18 Years
    • Maximum: 23 Years
    • Relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC.

🏃 Physical Standards (PST)

  • Height: 170 cm (Male) | 157 cm (Female).
  • Chest (Male): 80 cm (unexpanded) with 5 cm expansion.

💸 Salary & Benefits

Selected candidates will be placed in Pay Level-3.

  • Pay Scale: ₹21,700 to ₹69,100.
  • Perks: Includes Dearness Allowance (DA), HRA, Ration Money, and Medical facilities.

💻 How to Fill Form & Download Admit Card

The application window for this cycle closed in December 2025, but the Admit Card and Slot Booking are active now.

How to Book Exam Week Preference (New):

  1. Visit ssc.gov.in and log in using your Registration ID.
  2. Click on the “Exam Week Preference” link on your dashboard.
  3. Rank all four weeks (Week 1 to Week 4) based on your readiness.
  4. Submit before 15 April 2026.

How to Download Admit Card:

  1. Go to the official SSC portal.
  2. Click on the “Admit Card” tab.
  3. Select your Regional Website link.
  4. Enter your Roll Number/Registration ID and Date of Birth.
  5. Download and print the hall ticket (A4 size).
